Priority entry tickets: price and how to buy
The priority entry ticket is sold online only on Japanticket. It costs ¥1,350 including fees and comes with a ¥1,000 shopping voucher and a novelty gift.
- Sept–Oct 2026 tickets are sold out for both Tokyo and Osaka. The official X said Nov–Dec 2026 tickets would go on sale on Oct 7, 2026 at 17:00 JST, first come, first served. Check the ticket page for dates that are still open.
- Tokyo and Osaka have separate ticket pages. Japanticket can be displayed in English or Korean, and the official site says you can buy without registering as a member.
- Up to 6 people per purchase. Sales close at 23:59 JST the day before your visit.
- Ticket payment: Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, WeChat Pay and Alipay.
- Check-in starts 15 minutes before your time slot at the bakery entrance. Show the QR code from the confirmation email. The whole group must arrive together. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the ticket is canceled with no refund.
- A priority ticket means you are let in first; it does not guarantee entry at the exact time. You may still have to wait in a crowd.
- The ¥1,000 voucher works only during your booked time slot, in a single payment. No change is given if you spend less, and it cannot be used at the pop-up shops.
- No date changes, no cancellations for personal reasons, no transfers or resale, and lost tickets are not reissued.
Goods and the 2nd anniversary (from Oct 15)
You don’t have to buy bread to shop for goods. The bakery and the pop-up shops carry the same goods, such as mascot plushies of the characters dressed as bakers, cookie tins, jam and T-shirts.
- From Oct 15, 2026: "Coronet" mascots (8 kinds, ¥2,310 each), a rooibos tea tin (¥2,400) and more, for the 2nd anniversary.
- From Oct 15: spend ¥3,300 or more in one payment to get an anniversary can badge, and get an anniversary coaster with each take-out drink (both while supplies last).
- From Oct 29: a lunch box (size M, ¥1,540), sold only to people who buy bread at the counter (Tokyo and Osaka bakeries only).
- Some goods are also sold online on the Chiikawa Bakery online shop and Chiikawa Market. Both are Japanese sites.
Before you go
A few shop rules can catch visitors off guard, especially if you arrive with luggage.
- No cloakroom: the shops cannot hold bags or strollers. Use coin lockers at the station.
- No outside food or drinks, and no lining up before opening hours or overnight.
- You may be asked to show ID when entering.
- If you entered with a priority ticket, you cannot re-enter (you can come in again during free-entry hours).
- Per-person purchase limits may apply. The shops do not answer questions about stock; check the official X accounts on the day.
- The shops do not take phone calls; questions go through the website form (Japanese, replies by email only). If you use a wheelchair, contact the customer center at least 2 business days ahead so the visit goes smoothly.
