Kurimanju has a pale yellow round body topped with a dark chestnut-brown head (kurimanju is a Japanese chestnut bun), and is drawn a little bigger than Chiikawa. The official anime profile is just two lines, “cute-looking, but…!?” and “a gourmet who looks after others,” and the episodes back both up: Kurimanju savors drinks and snacks, then quietly shares them. The arc where Kurimanju is the center: Kurimanju and the God
In this story, Nagano’s posts from Sep 9, 2024 to Oct 21, 2024, Kurimanju gets bitten by a mosquito and, still swollen, ends up worshipped as a god of good fortune at a night festival. Hachiware and Shisa set out to get Kurimanju back.

What kind of character is Kurimanju?
The anime page says: “Cute-looking, but…!? A gourmet who looks after others.” Origins, age and how Kurimanju met Chiikawa and friends are not written anywhere.
- Fans also call Kurimanju “Kurimanju-senpai” (senior). That nickname is not used in the work itself.
- While the others get excited about sweets, Kurimanju sits a little apart, quietly choosing a drink and something to go with it. That calm is what makes Kurimanju look so “grown-up.”
Drinks, snacks and the “alcohol license”
The movie profile also says Kurimanju holds a drinking qualification and enjoys all kinds of drinks and snacks to go with them. Hachiware asks about it in Ep. 243, and in the next episode Kurimanju remembers how hard it was to get. Its official name and what the test involves have not been told.
