Do you need a reservation or a numbered ticket?
Not a reservation. Only the first two weeks after opening (Feb 27 – Mar 12, 2026) were Naver reservation only. The shop said it would then switch to an on-site waiting list, and we found no reservation notices from the shop after that.
- Watch out for restock days. Newsis reported that on the Oct 7, 2026 restock day people lined up outside the shop from the night before, and quoted a shopper who said on-site waiting registration began at 6:30 a.m. and they got a numbered ticket.
- Segye Ilbo also reported that the next morning, Oct 8, at around 7:30 a.m., a sign in front of the shop said today’s on-site waiting list was closed. If you want new items, go early in the morning; restock days are reported to be crowded, so if you only want to look around, avoid them.
- Restocks are announced a few days ahead as an “입고 리스트” (arrival list) on the shop’s X and Instagram, for example the Oct 5 post for Oct 7.
- Rules on the day can change, and some details are only posted as images or Instagram stories. Check the official accounts on the morning you go.
What can you buy, and are there purchase limits?
Besides regular Chiikawa goods, the shop sells Korea-original items, such as the hanbok (Korean traditional clothes) series. Popular items can have limits like one per design.
- Korea-original hanbok series, for example (per the shop’s official X and Popcon D Play): hanbok mascots (3 types), mugs (3 types), a yut-nori game set, tassel key rings (3 types), clip pen holders (3 types) and a muddler set.
- Limit example: when the hanbok mascots came back on Sep 21, 2026, the shop said you could buy one of each type. One Chiikawa plus one Hachiware is OK; two Chiikawa is not.
- Goods from the movie “Chiikawa: The Secret of Mermaid Island” arrived on Sep 23, and more movie items came on Oct 7.
- Limits and prices change by item and day. We only list what the shop posted in text; prices are not listed here.
