What is the Hiroma Arc about? (no spoilers)
Usagi gives Chiikawa and Hachiware a pretty stone from a trip. Gazing at it, the two suddenly want to go somewhere too, follow Usagi’s trail, and arrive at an old inn.
- They find Usagi in a hall with a sign reading 拾魔 (read “hiroma”), but from there, the three gradually start acting differently than usual.
- Kodansha’s description of Volume 6 also mentions finding Usagi in the “hiroma” inside the inn.
- Fans often list it among the scarier arcs: a relaxed trip slowly turns uneasy. What happens at the inn, and how it ends, we leave to you.
What do “Hiroma” and “Tsutsuurauura” mean?
“Hiroma” sounds the same as 広間, the Japanese word for a large hall, but the story writes it with the characters 拾 (“pick up”) and 魔 (“demon”). Why those characters were chosen is not explained in the story.
- “Tsutsuurauura” is Usagi’s reply in the first post, when asked where it went. Japanese media reported that it comes from 津々浦々 (tsutsu-uraura), an idiom meaning “all over the country.”
- The word trended on X in Japan when the first anime episode of this arc aired (as reported). Where Usagi actually travels has not been revealed.
Which volume and which anime episodes?

- The episodes aired in Japan from Nov 7, 2025 to Dec 5, 2025, on Fuji TV’s “Mezamashi TV”.
