Chiikawa Restaurant (Ikebukuro, Tokyo): how to book, hours, and what to expect

This is an unofficial fan guide by Chiifan. Chiikawa Restaurant is a permanent Chiikawa-themed cafe with a Japanese "family restaurant" concept, on the 7th floor of Ikebukuro PARCO in Tokyo (inside THE GUEST CAFE BY PARCO). It opened on November 16, 2023. Seating is by advance reservation ticket, but the goods shop next door is open to everyone. A second Chiikawa Restaurant opened in Okinawa in February 2026 (see the end of this page).

How to book from overseas: KKday
Seats go to people with reservations first. The official reservation page says, in English, that overseas guests can book through KKday, first come, first served.
- The Japanese route, Lawson Ticket (ローソンチケット), needs a Japanese mobile number starting with 090, 080 or 070 and the Japanese "ローチケ" (Lawson Ticket) app, so KKday is the practical choice if you don’t live in Japan.
- We could not open the KKday listing itself, so check the price, available dates and cancellation rules there before you pay.
- Whichever route you use, there are no walk-in seats for time slots that sell out in advance.
Tickets, prices and the current sale period
Tickets for visits from Sept 26 to Nov 20, 2026 have been on sale since Sept 6 at 12:00 noon Japan time (JST, UTC+9), first come, first served. You can buy up to 2 days before your visit. The sale schedule for Nov 21 onward has not been announced yet (as of Oct 8, 2026).

- ¥1,000 (tax incl.). One ticket per person; it counts as ¥1,000 toward food and drinks
- BOX sofa seat ticket
- ¥6,000 (tax incl.). Up to 4 people (fewer is OK); counts as ¥6,000 toward food and drinks
- Lawson Ticket fees
- ¥330 system fee + ¥110 e-ticket fee per ticket (plus ¥330 per order for carrier billing)
- Limit
- Up to 4 regular tickets, or 1 BOX ticket, per person per time slot
- Vouchers cannot be used in the goods shop, and no change is given if you order less than the voucher amount.
- Children of elementary school age and older need their own ticket. Preschoolers can come in with a parent; buy them a ticket too if they need their own seat.
- Dates and times cannot be changed, and tickets cannot be canceled or refunded for personal reasons.
- New sale dates are announced on the official reservation page and the restaurant’s X account. In the US, 12:00 JST is 11:00 PM Eastern / 8:00 PM Pacific the previous day (during daylight saving time).
On the day: arrive 10 minutes early and order in line
Go to the cafe on PARCO Main Building 7F about 10 minutes before the meeting time on your ticket. Staff line people up by ticket number, and you order while you wait in line. You can’t add to your order after you sit down.
- For the 11:05 slot, gather after Ikebukuro PARCO opens.
- The meeting time is when you line up, not a guaranteed seating time; when it’s busy you may wait a while. If you are late, your number is no longer valid and you go to the back of the line; if you are very late, you may be turned away.
- Regular seats have no fixed end time, but stays are capped at about 60 minutes. BOX sofa seats are timed (for example, the 11:05 slot ends at 12:20).
- Order limits per person: up to 4 food or dessert items and up to 5 drinks.
- Payment in the cafe: cash, credit cards, Japanese transit IC cards, QR code payments and e-money.
- The official page does not say whether photos are allowed inside, so follow the signs and staff instructions on the day.
Goods shop: no reservation needed
The restaurant’s goods shop (11:00–21:00) can be used by anyone, without a cafe ticket. It sells Chiikawa Restaurant original goods, such as placemats, hand towels and acrylic charms.
- On days expected to be crowded, separate shop entry tickets (「ショップ入場整理券」) may be issued; this is announced on the official site and the restaurant’s X account.
- Some items may have purchase limits.

Chiikawa Restaurant Okinawa
The second Chiikawa Restaurant opened on Feb 13, 2026 on 1F (Green Zone) of San-A Urasoe Nishikaigan PARCO CITY in Urasoe, Okinawa. Hours are 10:00–22:00 (food last order 21:00, drinks 21:30). It serves the same 8-item Grand Menu as Ikebukuro plus Okinawa-only dishes.
- Booking works the same way: KKday for overseas guests, or Lawson Ticket in Japan. Tickets are ¥1,000 per person; BOX sofa seats are ¥4,000 (up to 4) or ¥6,000 (up to 6). Tickets for visits from Oct 17 to Dec 11, 2026 are on sale now.
- Unlike Ikebukuro, any advance tickets left over are offered as same-day tickets at the cafe. Okinawa-only drinks are available to take out without a reservation, and the goods shop is open to everyone.
- Getting there: about 9.6 km from Naha Airport. Take route bus 26 (toward コンベンション, Convention) from the domestic or international terminal, or a taxi. There is free parking for about 4,000 cars.
